GlobalHosting was founded in 2011 by Marcus Chen and Sarah Whitfield in a small office in Sydney's Surry Hills. What started as a two-person web hosting operation has grown into a multinational technology company serving over 2,500 clients across four continents.
Our journey hasn't always been smooth sailing. The early years were marked by long nights, countless cups of flat whites, and an unwavering commitment to customer service that set us apart from larger competitors. When we lost our first major client to a server outage in 2013, we made a promise: reliability would become our obsession.
That promise led us to invest heavily in infrastructure, redundancy, and talent. By 2016, we had achieved 99.99% uptime—a record we've maintained ever since. Our expansion into the Middle East in 2018 marked a new chapter, bringing Australian tech expertise to the rapidly growing GCC market.
